Checking Accounts and Debit Cards
Helping teens and young adults understand the value of spending wisely will pay off as they grow. Checking accounts are available to children at least 14 years old with joint parent or gardian ownership required until the child turns 18 years old. As a joint owner the parent or guardian can stay connected with mobile alerts, online banking, and text banking. $ave-N-Grow checking accounts have no minimum balance, usage requirements or fees. Debit cards can be used to make online and in-store purchases or withdraw cash from a nationwide network of surcharge-free ATMs. The cards can be frozen using the tools available in online banking and mobile app for added security and control.
Managing Accounts
Secure online banking and the Federated Employees CU mobile app let everyone know what’s happening. Easy to use tools allow teens and young adults to build confidence. Mobile Alerts reinforce financial independence and provide peace of mind to parents or guardians. These instant notifications can be used for conversations about money management skills and how to avoid costly mistakes.
