Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a global effort focused on simple, effective ways to keep yourself safe from online threats, protect your personal data, and prevent digital crime. We’ve partnered with the Credit Union League System to help our members recognize scams and protect their accounts. Throughout October, we’re providing free access to educational articles, social media tips, and practical checklists designed to make cybersecurity easy to understand and apply.

FECU will share cybersecurity education and resources focused on key topics:

• Phishing & Scams – Learn how to recognize suspicious emails, text messages, and fraudulent websites before clicking.
• Protecting Your Accounts – Discover simple ways to strengthen passwords, enable multi-factor authentication, and improve online security.
• Identity Theft Prevention – Understand the warning signs of identity theft and how to respond quickly if suspicious activity occurs.
• Shopping Safety – Stay safe while shopping online by avoiding common scams and protecting payment information.
