FECU encourages everyone to start an emergency fund for America Saves Week. Open a new Choice Savings account between April 1, 2026 and April 30, 2026 and establish recurring deposits to receive two Minnesota State Fair general admission tickets or the cash value* into the newly opened account. Having access to FECU products and services can be a lifesaver when unexpected expenses arise.  Now is a great time to learn more about Funds for Emergencies.

• Existing Membership: Contact us to open a new Choice Savings account and for guidance on building your emergency fund with recurring deposits. 

Recurring Deposit Options

Whether you are saving $5 or over $500 a month, making it consistent is key. A great place to start is by setting up your payroll with direct deposits or scheduling transfers to automatically be deposited into your savings accounts. View the Deposit FAQ to learn more about options for making easy, fast, and secure deposits into FECU accounts. Recurring deposits must be established into the Choice Savings account prior to June 30, 2026, to be eligible for these incentives and offers.   

Official Rules

Eligibility: This offer requires new or existing members of the credit union to open a new Choice Savings account that meets the qualifications. Only the primary owner of the qualifying Choice Savings account will be eligible to receive the cash deposit or Minnesota State Fair tickets. Participants must be in good standing with the credit union. Trust accounts, volunteer FECU board members, FECU employees and their immediate family household are ineligible. Participants must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. If the account is closed, the member is ineligible. 

Qualifying Account: Small Steps for Big Impact Giveaway requires all owners to sign a New Account Form and fund the newly opened Choice Savings Account between April 1, 2026, and April 30, 2026. Only one Choice Savings account per person is eligible to receive the cash deposit or Minnesota State Fair tickets. Other promotion offers or coupons cannot be combined with this. 

Qualifying Deposits: Eligibility requires using the FECU routing number and Choice Savings account number for setting up recurring deposits, payroll direct deposit, or scheduled recurring transfers from another financial institution into the Choice Savings account. A minimum of (2) deposits meeting the recurring transaction requirements must be posted to the Choice Savings account before the statement cycle ending on June 30,2026, to qualify. Prizes: Minnesota State Fair General Admission Tickets are valid for any age guest (age 5+) on any one day of the 2026 Minnesota State Fair between August 27, 2026 to September 7, 2026. Paper tickets can be picked up at the FECU office locations or tickets will be available via print-at-home or mobile download delivery options. Admission tickets cannot be duplicated and are subject to their own terms and conditions. No refunds or exchanges will be offered.

*Instead of Minnesota State Fair general admission vouchers, the FECU will deposit $30.00 into the newly opened Choice Savings account.
