Here are some tips to help you keep your information safe:
- Update your passwords. When is the last time you did a password reset for everything? Take the time now and save yourself time later. Create strong passwords and change them on a regular basis. Use different passwords on different accounts.
- Check your financial accounts daily or weekly. Login to FECU online banking and review your transactions. Contact us if something seems off.
- Don’t open emails that you don’t know who they are coming from, and do not open suspicious email attachments
- Don’t provide your financial information to anyone that is contacting you. Hang up and contact the appropriate person to confirm.
- Be careful at ATM’s. Make sure the ATM doesn’t have any device attached to it and be sure no one is close by.
- Do not share your PIN numbers or passwords and do not write them down where someone could find them.
- Freeze your credit if you are concerned, and you can freeze your credit until you decide to unfreeze it. Check out the links above to freeze your credit.
